Account Administrator – Purchase Ledger

My client is world class distribution business with products that clients need that can be used in a variety of different routes to market. They work with major well-known brands throughout the UK.
The company has seen amazing year-on-year growth over the last 10 years and has big plans.
Due to investment and huge growth plans, they are looking to recruit an Accounts Administrator – Purchase Ledger
Responsibilities
Accounts administration responsibilities include reviewing and reconciling accounts, processing payments to external partners and maintaining updated records of invoices and receipts. To ensure we process all financial transactions accurately and on time.

• Manage obligations to suppliers, customers, and third-party vendors
• Process bank deposits
• Reconcile financial statements
• Prepare, send, and store invoices
• Credit control – contact clients and send reminders to ensure timely payments
• Identify and address discrepancies
• Report on the status of accounts payable and receivable
• Update internal accounting databases and spreadsheets
• Dealing with customers’ requests for POD’s
• Liaising with other departments and depots
• Providing support for purchase ledger, sales ledger and credit control
• Reconciling HMRC records for imports
• Maintaining monthly records for rebates
• Preparing accruals on a monthly basis for external accountant
• Payroll records – keeping to deadlines
• Providing back up for holiday cover within the team
• Assisting with month end procedures
• Supporting other departments if and when required
• Any other administrative or accounts procedures as required
