My client are a global market leader within their sector, they sell high end Machine Tools within the Metal Cutting Industry and we are looking for a Sales Engineer to cover north of the UK. The ideal candidate would be ideally based North of Derby/Sheffield and anywhere up to Newcastle as the majority of our business is across the M62 corridor
The successful Sales Engineer will need to be a hunt and develop opportunities to increase sales and profitability whilst delivering a first class service. The role is going to involve extensive travel and overnight stays so a full clean drivers licence is a must
You would need to have a Engineering background and ideally having extensive knowledge of CNC Machinery. Being from the CNC Machine Tool world as either an Application Engineer or currently within a Sales role.
Main Duties:
- Represent CNC Machine sales to customers across the North UK.
- Identify opportunities and drive through from point of sale to completion.
- Identify and develop own leads in new and existing customers.
- Actively deliver technical support to all customers.
- Demonstrate a good working knowledge of my clients capital equipment, to maximise opportunities within the industry.
- Attend exhibitions and promote products as and when required.
- Any other duties as reasonably requested by the UK Sales Director / Senior management.
Minimum Skills / Experience Required:
- Experience of selling CNC Machine Tool or Cutting Tools
- Self-motivated
- Confident and effective communicator
- Identifying and developing new opportunities
- Background in mechanical engineering and manufacturing experience
- Ability to communicate technically

- Salary up to £50k per annum DOE
- Uncapped OTE £80k+
