The Opportunity:

My Client are a leader within their industry and due to expansion now require and additional maintenance engineer. The role typically entails Mechanical 95% / Electrical 5%. Elec level fault finding, testing motors, changing electrical components (Contactors, Motors, Sensors etc..) – (No PLC or Robotics on site.) having a mechanical bias for the role will be advantageous. You will be working with the following:

• Carry our reactive & planned maintenance work on
• Conveyor systems
• Larger batch washing machine
• Linen presses
• Gas dryer (Except Gas Safe elements – this is done by external contractor).
• Feeder, Folders & Ironers
• Chemical feed systems
• Building services including Boilers, Steam system, Compressors & lighting etc..

It is all about attitude for them, if you come hungry to learn and want to become part of a special team they will give you the chance. There is plenty of training available inc. official boiler training.

The site is clean, has a lot of automation and the Manager is a great guy and if you do need to earn that extra bit of money, there is overtime available to bump it up.

What do we need from you?:

• Mechanically biased
• Previous experience working working on bespoke machinery – ideally 3+ years
• Experience with 3-phase motors and sensors is definitely good to have
• Knowledge of gearboxes, hydraulics, and pneumatics would be great!
• Qualifications aren’t a deal breaker, years in industry is fine!
• Any Manufacturing background welcome but would also look at Ex-Forces
