Monday – Friday Days – 7am-3:30pm (flexible start and finish times) 

The Company:

My client have been manufacturing for 75 years and have a strong reputation in the area, they have recently had £10 million investment and supply to various industries across the UK. Due to retirement they are now looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Lead to be heavily involved in projects and improvements. This role is desk based and hands on. Good hydraulics knowledge is required for this role. 

* Note – this isn’t managing anyone but would suit a mechanical maintenance manager who is looking to move away from management and get more involved in projects and plant improvements. 

This role would be 70/30 or 60/40 desk based v hands on. The ideal candidate will be apprenticeship served within heavy industry and have been heavily involved in projects. You must have good knowledge with Hydraulics and Pneumatics and had previous experience as a mechanical maintenance engineer or mechanical maintenance manager.

Experience required for the mechanical maintenance lead:
 

• Apprenticeship served as a mechanical maintenance engineer/mechanical engineer 
• Must have experience working in heavy industry ideally five years + 
• Must have experience working with hydraulics and pneumatics
• Experience with projects and improvements
• Good people skills – a lot of liaising and communicating with this role as the mechanical maintenance manager
