Engineering Manager

Corby

£70,000 – £80,000 Bonus Benefits

Looking for a role where you can genuinely shape the future of an engineering department?

We’re recruiting an Engineering Manager to lead the maintenance and engineering function at one of the UK’s most technologically advanced industrial facilities.

This is a business that’s investing heavily in automation, infrastructure and its people. Rather than simply maintaining existing standards, you’ll play a key role in driving engineering performance, developing your team and delivering long-term operational improvements.

If you enjoy leading from the front, improving reliability and creating a high-performance engineering culture, this could be the opportunity you’ve been waiting for.

The Role

Reporting into the senior site leadership team, you’ll take ownership of all engineering activities across a large, highly automated operation.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading, mentoring and developing a multi-skilled engineering team.

  • Driving a proactive maintenance culture through effective PPM strategies and continuous improvement.

  • Improving equipment reliability, uptime and engineering performance.

  • Managing engineering budgets, contractors and technical projects.

  • Leading root cause analysis and implementing long-term corrective actions.

  • Supporting capital investment projects from concept through to delivery.

  • Ensuring compliance with all health, safety and engineering standards.

  • Working closely with operational teams to maximise productivity and minimise downtime.

  • Developing engineering KPIs and creating a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

About You

You’ll already be operating in a leadership role within engineering and enjoy developing people just as much as improving equipment.

You’ll ideally have:

  • Previous experience leading engineering or maintenance teams.

  • A strong background within manufacturing, automated warehousing, logistics, distribution or another fast-paced industrial environment.

  • Experience managing both planned and reactive maintenance.

  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.

  • A continuous improvement mindset.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels.

  • Engineering qualifications such as HNC, HND, Degree or equivalent practical experience.

Experience with automation, conveyors, robotics, refrigeration, ASRS systems or complex material handling equipment would be advantageous, although it isn’t essential.

What’s in it for you?

  • £70,000 – £80,000 salary

  • Significant autonomy to shape the engineering function

  • A business that continues to invest in technology, engineering excellence and career progression

Why Apply?

This is more than a maintenance management role.

You’ll join a business with ambitious growth plans, modern facilities and a leadership team that values engineering as a key driver of operational success.

If you’re looking for a role where your ideas are listened to, your leadership makes a difference and you’ll have the opportunity to build a best-in-class engineering function, we’d love to hear from you.

Apply today or contact Stirling Warrington for a confidential conversation.
