We Are Stirling Warrington

We’re aiming to be the best recruitment agency in the Midlands. So, we’ll start by becoming the best place to work.

From our Office to our Benefits. Our Technology to Service Offering. We will be the best agency to work at. Why is this important? If you’re happy at work, the service you deliver is better. And we aim to provide a recruitment service that is consultative, proactive and bespoke.

We’d say that we’re on the track for this little vision. As we’ve quadrupled in size since 2017 (and that’s with a pandemic in the middle of it). So, what have we done to make Stirling Warrington the best place for recruiters in the midlands to work?

Who we are

So. Who are Stirling Warrington? Well, we’re an eclectic group of recruiters that are all invested in becoming the best. Whether that be the best engineering or building products recruiter, or the best marketers. We’ve set our sights on the sky and are working together to achieve our goals. You can meet the team on our about us page!

In terms of what we do, we’re a specialist agency that focuses on recruitment within the engineering, technical engineering and building products industries. For many years, we focused on manufacturers. However, we’ve now branched out to support more of the supply chain.

Over the next 18 months, we’re planning on doubling the business again. So, that means working even closer with our current clients, expanding into new markets and hiring more fantastic people. People that are invested in doing recruitment the right way.

Recruitment Management Training

Jonny Gardner - ILM Training

Becoming a manager was always part of my long-term career goals. However, it wasn’t something that I wanted to go into blindly. So, I found an ILM course that would give me a solid foundation to develop my management skills. Stirling Warrington jumped at the opportunity to support me with this endeavour.

Marketing Training

Hannah Kirk - Marketing Courses

If you’re not keeping at the forefront of the marketing industry you will fall behind. When I found an interesting 4-day course, I asked if I could attend. Adam was more than happy to put me on the course! Adam continues to recommend courses to me as well. It’s an amazing feeling to know that my development is supported!

Memberships Enrolment

Chloe Scarano - Girls in Marketing

I was a little hesitant when asking about a membership like the Girls in Marketing Group. As it isn’t something I’ve done before. However, when I asked it felt like it wasn’t something out of the ordinary. In fact, they were thrilled that I had brought something to them that would impact both me and the business positively.

Careers with SW

We asked our team about their careers in recruitment and with Stirling Warrington. Learn more about their experiences by clicking the buttons below:

Matt Morson – Senior Recruitment Consultant

Matt joined SW in October 2021 and was promoted to Senior in just under a year! In 2022, Matt was awarded Best Performer vs Target for continually smashing targets, which means we’ll be seeing him jet off to Las Vegas next year – we think he’s looking forward to that!

“I was intrigued by the proactive and forward-thinking company”

Natasha Bates – Senior Technical Recruitment Consultant

Natasha has been with us since January 2023 and is already exceeding expectations! As well as making multiple placements in her first few weeks, she has really brought the joy to the office. We’re excited to see her flourish in this new role!

It’s all about bringing joy to people

Jonny Gardner – Engineering Recruitment Manager

Jonny has been with us since January 2019 and continues to deliver day after day! He now manages the engineering recruiters and helps them to develop their skills, often running training sessions. And as he won our Best Performer award for 2021, Jonny spent a Christmassy week in the lively New York!

“In order to be good at recruitment you need 3 things. Relationship Building Skills. Urgency. And a Backbone that’s resilient.”

Chloe Scarano – Marketing Assistant

Chloe is the second hire in the Marketing team and has come a long way since joining, back in August 2022. She has really improved her skillset and is continually exposed to all areas of Marketing. A personal milestone was creating the marketing videos for Ragdale Hall Spa!

“A fun, modern company, with people at the centre”

FAQ’s

If you’re thinking about joining the recruitment industry, you probably have a couple of burning questions that just need answering. So, we put together a little FAQ from the questions we hear (or see) the most.

This is one of the first questions that we’ll hear from those looking to join the industry. Like any job, working in recruitment has its ups and downs. The sector really is a roller coaster that can go from having multiple candidates at interviews, to none in an instant. However, the key to making recruitment not a hard job is to focus on the process and the way you build relationships. But, ultimately, you are dealing with people at the end of the day- and everyone can have an off day!

Recruitment as a career is very much about how much you put in. So, if you put in a lot you get back a lot. Sometimes this means having to work longer hours, like to catch candidates when they’re not at work. Or going to networking groups to meet new clients. At SW we work a 37.5-hour week at the office, but many of us work extra to get keep us ahead of the competition.

Well, that depends on the agency. For us working in recruitment is epitomised in our values:

Do the right thing – which is about taking accountability of our actions, respecting our colleagues, candidates and clients and always having the needs of our customers at the centre of what we do.

Find the solution – Being service lead and consultative. We don’t want to shoehorn a solution to a problem. We should give/add value and make the most of every situation.

Embrace change – recruitment changes quickly. So, this is about being open-minded to this change and always thinking about the bigger picture. Which enables us to adapt to situations whilst remaining positive.
