£35-45k plus bonus 

Positioned at the heart of the business, your key responsibilities will be to optimise the profitability of your products, especially with the view of focusing on sustainable long term growth, improved efficiencies and superior customer experience.

Key Responsibilities of the Buyer

• Set a clear, B2B focused and agile business strategy, to deliver growth in sales and profit, especially in the long run both in branch and online.

• Be extremely analytical and data driven in decision making.

• Keep abreast on any changes in consumer demands and direct competition.

• Develop a clear sourcing strategy to ensure the supply of quality products that meet the customer needs.

• Manage supplier relations and negotiation to develop high performing sustainable partnerships.

• Cultivate a long termed and customer centric mentality.

• Communicate closely with various departments to ensure key issues are addressed.

• Proactive in aiming to improve efficiencies and reduce overheads at all times.

Candidate Requirements: Buyer role 

• Strong business acumen and commercial awareness.

• A background in procurement

• Strong and successful negotiating skills.

• Knowledge in building materials 

• Attention-to-detail with strong strategic planning and organisational skills.

• Strong desire and willingness to learn.
