My client is a global manufacturer and distributor of building products who, due to internal promotion, are looking to appoint a Business Development Manager to cover the Southeast patch.
Established 30 years ago, operating in 16 countries and over 3000 employees worldwide, this company certainly has plenty of success to shout about.
With exceptional growth year on year, my client is passionate about innovation and development of their products to keep them at the top of their game and invite you as their new Business Development Manager to share this ethos across the Southeast region.
The role
The role of Business Development Manager consists of growing and boosting business across your patch through a mix of builder’s merchants, architects, and contractors. You’ll oversee your own diary, ensuring an eclectic mix of site visits, merchant meetings and developing your client portfolio to best cover your area. You decide how to run your patch to ensure the best profitability for both the company and the clients you are selling to.
As the Business Development Manager, you’ll be the face of the company in your patch and most of your working week will be spent making sales pitches, calling into sites on spec and following up on leads. A construction background is essential for this role and a comprehensive three-week induction plan will take place after your appointment to the role to ensure you are technically sound before hitting the area.
