Improvement Engineer Full Time Permanent

Manufacturing Maintenance – Improvement Engineer – Like to implement new processes to streamline and improve the day to day? Had experience in doing so? Are you an experienced engineer with the knowledge to support company growth? We have a brand-new role for an improvement engineer/process engineer to support the maintenance processes throughout a time of company growth and development.

This role will be suitable for someone with proven ability to implement new processes or a Uni leaving with a degree in engineering project managing etc.

Improvement Engineer / Process Engineer / Project Engineer

(Manufacturing Maintenance)

• Wakefield
• Days, Monday to Friday
• 7am-3:30pm (2pm Fridays)
• Overtime available
• 34 days holiday

Experience & Knowledge:     

• Experienced within a similar role implementing processes – Improvement Engineer / Process Engineer / Project Engineer
•  Experienced in mechanical maintenance – hydraulics and pneumatics
• Experience in successfully implementing new processes is essential
• Ability to identify areas of improvement and implement successful changes
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings
• Ability to and confident in liaising with suppliers
• Basic knowledge of controls, PLC, automation or robot engineering is desirable
• Time service maintenance engineer or uni graduate in engineering processes considered

The Job as improvement engineer:

• Managing, identifying, improving and Implementing process
• Introducing new equipment and machine upgrades into the manufacturing process – CAPEX projects
• Integrating new products from a technical prototype into a product that is ready for manufacturing
• Co-ordinating line layout changes and optimisation of product
• Supporting the technical team on developing and producing product prototypes and product improvements
• Work with and support all maintenance engineer
• Supporting the maintenance team in improving machines to optimise performance and efficiency whilst minimising downtime
• Ensure compliance and H&S is adhered to
• Carry out risk assessments for maintaining a safe working environment  
• Carry out root cause analysis into ongoing machine issues to identify the root cause and implement preventative actions and improvements
• Adhere to Quality Management System (QMS) requirements in line with ISO9001:2015
