We are looking for a lead maintenance engineer to join our team of hardworking engineers. Our turnover is over £55 million a year, establishing the success the business has.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead the shift maintenance team, delivering both reactive and proactive maintenance across all operational equipment and infrastructure
- Carry out, complete, and sign off planned maintenance and ensure timely completion across the team.
- Drive site performance by reducing downtime, improving reliability, and leading improvement initiatives.
- Liaise with external contractors for maintenance tasks, checking RAMS, issuing permits to work, and ensuring safe practices.
- Conduct risk assessments for all maintenance and unplanned work.
- Ensure maintenance staff maintain tools and workspaces to a high standard.
- Work closely with the SHEQ team to resolve H&S, environmental and compliance issues.
- Maintain logs, check sheets and ensure all compliance records are correctly filled.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects and attend relevant training.
- Any other duties reasonably requested by the management team.
Experience and Qualification:
- Experience in a team leader or supervisory role.
- Multi-skilled or mechanically biased
- NVQ3 minimum mechanical engineering
- Time served engineer
