Maintenance Engineer

Wolverhampton

£32,500 + HUGE call out bonus (up to £250 a day) 

Days 8am-4pm Monday-Friday 
 

The Opportunity:

The company are different (in a good way), they are extremely innovative – they give back to the environment in the way they produce their product and have outstanding health and safety. The company is part of the energy to waste sector (a booming sector!) where they burn and create gas that in turn creates electricity for the grid. This place won’t be like any place you have worked at before. As your role as an electrically biased maintenance engineer you will be responsible for all electrical fault finding/Installations. Main machinery you will be working on are conveyors, incinerators, shoos, boilers, turbines, pumps and much more.

Call out:

On call one weekend in four:
£50 for just being on call
ADDITIONAL £75 if you are called out
THEN x1.5 or double time on a Sunday for the hour worked. Can easily earn £300 – £250 each time you are called out.  

On top of this, they offer overtime as standard on Saturdays. You can easily earn £35,000 – £40,000 or even more!

What we need from you:

  • At least 3 year’s experience working as an electrically biased maintenance engineer is essential  
  • Electrically qualified to level 3 ideally – either C&G/BTEC/NVQ. Apprenticeship served and or 18th ed advantageous but not essential
  • experience working with both high and low voltage, up to 120mm cabling, changing parameters, power supplies from 240 up to 415 volt. PLC fault finding – looking at input/output signals is advantageous
  • Exp. with light sockets and general facilities work is good to have 
  • Any experience as a maintenance engineer from within a manufacturing environment
