The Role – Mechanical fitter

Reactive work, PPMs, very straight forward mechanical fitting role. Working on mixers, cube and block machines, conveyors and more. It is a small team of 3, so people skills are needed to build relationships with your peers.

Lots of overtime on offer, with earnings (inc. OT) forecasted to peak at £45k. Paid at 1.5x, overtime is usually done before shift rather than after; standard hours are 0900-1700, with OT, you'd be starting at 0600.

Right now, the business are transitioning the Maintenance department from being very reactive and now have an emphasis going forward on root cause analysis, creating an efficient PPM and undergoing various projects to ensure the plant is running at peak performance. They are looking for experienced Mechanical Fitters to join the team on a permanent basis.

Experience required:

• Hold a Level 3 NVQ or equivalent in a Mechanical discipline – this is essential
• MIG & Stick Welding abilities are needed
• Experience working with straps, belts, chains, gearboxes, bearings, motors etc (heavy industry)
• Happy to work in a fast-paced environment and get your hands dirty
• Able to demonstrate working within a team environment and toward a long-term goal.
