My client is a Global leader supplying tools and tooling solutions for the metalworking industry. We are now looking for a Technical Sales & Application Engineer to join the Sales team in the South West of the UK to cover Gloucester, Swindon, Bath, Bristol, Taunton, and Dorchester Areas.

The successful Sales Engineer will have a passion & enthusiasm for sales and working with customers / key accounts, have cutting tool experience and is able to grow with business whilst maintaining / growing key accounts and opening new pipelines.

As Sales Engineer you will develop the sales and profitability within a designated geographical area Wiltshire, Hampshire, Dorset & East Somerset).

Other benefits include a salary of £40k – £50K DOE, 15% bonus, Hybrid or Elec Company Car, Private Medical, Death in Service x6 salary and a superb overall benefits package.

Your profile
The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of both manufacturing processes and the application of cutting tools. You will ideally have experience of working with 5 axis machine centers.

We are looking for an independent, self-directed and results orientated candidate with a strong engineering background, obtained through on the job exposure or relevant apprenticeship. You are a confident speaker in front of internal and external groups, analytical, able to compile clear plans, persuasive with good interpersonal skills, innovative, creative and a good team player.

To be successful as an Sales Engineer, we’re looking for the following skills / experience

• Time Served Engineer and currently in a Cutting tool sales role
• Passionate about the sector and knowledge to support existing & new clients
• Excellent communication and customer-facing skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and being customer focused
• Confidently demonstrate solutions and benefits to the end user whilst on site
• Full UK driving license

The Package: 

• Salary up to £50k per annum DOE
• 15% bonus
• Company Car (Hybrid option)
• Private Medical, Death in Service x6 salary and a superb overall benefits package.
