Marketing Executive – Campaign and Events Manager

Harrogate, Wetherby, York, Leeds, Garforth, Tadcaster

£31,000 plus bonus – Hybrid working

We are a recognised distributor of building materials supplying merchants and end-users nationwide. Due to growth of the current marketing team, we are recruiting for a Campaign and Events Manager. You may be a Marketing Executive looking for that next move or a current Campaign Manager looking to have growth opportunities.

The role

Reporting to the Group Marketing Strategy Director, this exciting new role focuses on effective campaign management and brand positioning covering two main areas:

1. Our national branch network & company specialisms
2. Business and corporate events

This role is ideal for B2B Marketing Executives looking to develop and progress in campaign and project management. It requires a creative thinker, able to generate new ideas and shape campaigns and events for internal and external stakeholders.

The planning, development, coordination and execution of stand-out marketing campaigns to support the ongoing growth and development of our national branch network and market specialisms.

· Creating, developing, executing, and measuring campaigns relating to our branches and specialist areas.

The planning, organisation, delivery and marketing of business and corporate events to support our overall business objectives, supplier partnerships and/or our customers.

Events include but are not limited to hospitality days arranged by our branches, sponsorships, trade shows or exhibitions, promotional events, networking lunches and dinners, internal or external conferences. This will involve:

· Excellent forward planning and a proactive approach to maintaining an overview of all relevant events and associated actions over a rolling 12-month period.

· Effective planning, management and execution of all agreed events

· Creating and maintaining an accurate and up-to-date project plan and budget/cost analysis for all major events

· Working with designers, printers, merchandisers and other relevant third parties for the execution of all relevant marketing activity associated to the event.

· Bachelor’s Degree in Event Management or Marketing – Or relevant work experience

· Competent across all Microsoft Office packages

· 2+ years’ B2B experience in a marketing/events role, ideally in the construction industry

· Excellent project management, with proven ability to plan and manage budgets

· Experience of project and events delivery

· Experience working with the full marketing mix: print, online, social and digital

· Good copywriting and editing skills

· Strong proof-reader
