A Big Welcome to Another Technical Recruiter
Today, we’re welcoming Harry Sandhu to the team! A talented recruiter who specialises in all things technical recruitment. But let’s delve a little deeper into what Harry will be doing in the technical team.
More about our Technical Recruiter
Harry is joining us with previous engineering recruitment experience, so will be able to hit the ground running.
His background is recruiting for Technical Sales positions across the Machine and Cutting Tool industry. But he has also dabbled in hiring similar jobs within automation and robotics – as that is an industry that just keeps growing! However, he won’t be starting off with that here (see more about his new role below).
If you check out his LinkedIn recommendations, you’ll notice a message that’ll keep appearing – “Harry kept us up to date”. Offering a transparent approach to recruitment, a service that makes a conscious effort to get feedback, to contact you when they say they will and gives you updates (both the good and the bad) is something that Harry strives for.
This very endeavour is one of the reasons why we’re so excited to have him on the team. As it’s an approach that’s ingrained in our own service and values – of doing the right thing.
What will he be doing in our Technical Recruitment Team?
He’s joining a growing team, bringing his experience to help train our newbies and support our customers.
But he’ll be recruiting for technical roles within:
- Design
- Project and similar
In terms of what he’ll be doing, he is joining us as a 360 Recruitment Consultant so will cover everything from candidates to client management, recruitment strategies and business development. If you want to learn more about what is involved in a 360-recruiter role, then you should follow the link to read more!
His role will be a little different from your traditional 360 recruiter, as he’s also going to be supporting the existing team with their Business Development skills. I’m so grateful that he is going to be supporting this aspect, as it’ll benefit the whole team!
Why Stirling Warrington?
With several technical or engineering recruitment agencies out there, I did want to dig a little deeper into why he decided to join Stirling Warrington. So, we had a quick chat about this before he joined and this is his response:
Why Stirling Warrington is an interesting one. On the one hand, I’m sad to be leaving a company that gave me my first chance at recruitment. They have taught me so much and those lessons will stay with me. But, on the other hand, this is a new opportunity that seems filled with potential. As they say, when one door closes another opens!
But if I had to pinpoint why Stirling Warrington. Well, I’ve only heard good things about them. Both from previous colleagues that now work there and the wider community.
There is one message that came through in all of the feedback I’ve heard about Stirling Warrington. And that it has a Family Focus- I don’t mean that cliché ‘we’re a family message’. But they offer support to all, either those who have families or don’t. So, if I need to prioritise my family (for whatever reason) or need some flexibility, I know that I’ll have the support and backing to do so. And that’s rare!
What’s Next
Having worked with Harry previously and can honestly say that he’s an expert in what he does. But the only way is up as he’s really at the start of his career – which is fantastic!
So, what’s next? Well, we still have a little more room for growth and are hoping to welcome another recruiter to the team- more news on this in the future.
It’s a very exciting time. We’re expanding our team and offering to better support candidates and clients alike. Personally, I can’t wait to see where the team goes.
