It’s been just a little over a month (I think it’s about that) since I took the mantle of Building Products Divisional Manager. Wow, that has gone quickly and so much has happened.

I’ve been at the BMF Ambassador meeting, recorded lots of video content about life at the BMF and went to Istanbul.

But, enough of that. I’ve got some amazing news to share. I’m so excited to introduce our newest team member: Pip Howe!

More About Our New Resourcer

Or as we like to call her our Candidate Manager!

Pip is going to focus on candidate engagement, which means she’ll be sourcing the top talent in the market for all sorts of roles. We honestly could not be more excited to have her expertise and experience on board.

After working in recruitment for a number of years, Pip already understands the process and can hit the ground running. But, why return to recruitment? Well, we asked her, and this was her response!

“Why did I return to recruitment? Well, for me it’s in my blood now. Once you’ve dipped your toe into this choppy but rewarding waters, you’ll never truly leave it behind. So, I found myself looking for my next opportunity.

I did look at a lot of options. But I didn’t want another 360 role. I’ve done that before and the role is huge. You’re having to focus on every element that some part of your service can dilute slightly. I want to be able to give my undivided attention to one thing, and that’s candidates. For my next recruitment role, I want to be able to consult candidates on their options and how they can drive their careers forward.

That’s what drew me to the role at Stirling Warrington. It’s entirely candidate focussed! When you combine this with Natalie’s warm approach, I knew that this was the next role for me.

This might be a little boring to mention as well. But there are so many recruitment agencies in Leicester that don’t have this. On-site and free parking. No one really wants to spend more money on just getting to work- fuel prices are still a killer in some areas. So, as silly as it sounds, having onside parking that you can use on the weekend was a huge plus.”

She’ll recruit for sales and marketing roles under £45k. We’re talking about finding people who can thrive in merchants, distributors, and suppliers within the building materials industry. It’s a crucial role, and we know that Pip will succeed.

What’s next for our Building Products Division

We’re not just stopping there, though. We’re diving headfirst into researching other ways that our team can support job seekers and employers. We want to be the ultimate resource, offering insights, guidance, and a personal touch that sets us apart from the rest. Because let’s face it, recruitment isn’t just about finding a job—it’s about finding the right job.

The best part is that our newest team member is a perfect fit for our friendly and collaborative work environment. Their previous experience and skills will take our team dynamics to a whole new level of awesome. We’re all about supporting each other, having a laugh, and making work feel like a home away from home.

So, let’s raise a virtual toast to our new recruitment consultant! Together, we’re going to make waves in the recruitment world, connecting incredible talent with their dream gigs and helping businesses thrive like never before.
