STIRLING WARRINGTON WELCOME ANNA CLARKE AS OUR FIRST APPRENTICE
We are celebrating National Apprentice Week at Stirling Warrington by taking this time to introduce our first Apprentice Anna. We hit a key milestone at SW when we recruited our first Apprentice, National Apprenticeship Week shines a light on the opportunities offered by apprenticeships. People of all ages and backgrounds get stuck in with apprenticeships to develop their skills and knowledge they need for a career they are passionate about.
We want to take this time to share Anna’s story and why she decided to go down the route of building a career within Recruitment.
So Anna…..
Tell us a bit about yourself?
“Hello everyone, I’m Anna. I recently joined Stirling Warrington at the start of this year and what can I say, it’s been a world wind so far and I have loved every moment. Outside of playing a key role in SW as their Apprentice Resourcer, I love reading – I have recently started a new book called Five Feet Apart, if you haven’t already, I would strongly recommend it! Romantic novels are my favourite, so any recommendations are always welcome. I also have a big passion for all thing’s makeup and fashion related. Those that know me, know that I have a crazy obsession for hot chocolate, the more caramel the better!”
What Qualification are you working towards?
“Level 2 Customer Service”
Why did you join SW?
“ I love being able to help people so when I heard about this opportunity it was perfect for what I was looking for. I get a warm feeling every time I know I have helped someone, knowing that I have made someone’s day but picking up the phone. Stirling Warring is the perfect company to feel at home in, as soon as I met Adam and Jack I knew this was the company for me. I was made to feel so welcome even when joining the company in the middle of a pandemic. I can’t thank everyone enough for their support.”
What made you choose a career in recruitment?
“Helping people is my key focus, I love being able to help people and seeing the results from helping people. I wanted to be in a customer facing role so thought this would be the best career for myself.”
How did you hear about the opportunity at SW?
“I was previously completing an Apprenticeship in Hairdressing, as I got further into the role I decided it wasn’t for me, I preferred getting to know people and learning new things about the person rather than the hair side. During the lockdown when I was furloughed I decided to start looking for roles, I applied on Indeed and got contacted for an interview which I was so excited about.”
What’s it like working at SW?
“It’s the best thing ever! It’s like going from home to home, everyone is always so helpful and positive which is amazing to be around, everyone makes me feel so relaxed and part of a big work family. Everyone looks on the bright side of life which I love!”
What impact have you had since joining?
“I personally think I have had a big impact, I bring a lot of energy and laughter to the office, plus I bring in cupcakes which are always a massive hit.”
What have you learnt?
“I now live by the moto of even if you think you can’t do it, you can. From working here everyone has taught me that anything is possible if you put your mind to it and stay positive. I make sure that I treat every morning the same and dive straight in.”
What do you enjoy the most?
“Even though I joined the company in the middle of a pandemic everyone was so welcoming, more than I could have imagined. I have enjoyed building relationships both with colleagues and with candidates. I have gained some great friendships since being here and can’t wait to see these unfold even more.”
What advice would you give to someone thinking about joining an Apprenticeship Scheme?
“Just do it, stop overthinking it and go for it before a great opportunity is lost. If you are a people person and love helping others out, then the role is 100% for you. If you are starting in recruitment then give it your all and don’t be afraid, someone will always help you out.”
Whether you are looking for your next step after leaving school, or looking for a career change, going down the Apprentice route is the perfect opportunity to explore your skill set.
Here at Stirling Warrington we are always looking for passionate and enthusiastic individuals to join our Apprentice Scheme. Please get in contact with Adam on 07557961162 or [email protected]
